The Impact of a Tract

While we were Stateside recently, I got my eyes examined and ordered new glasses. Before we left the 'eye' store, we handed a Bridge tract to the guy who helped us.  And we went on our merry way.

Fast forward about a month, and help me open the box I got in the mail:

Two pairs of new glasses (yay!) And, wait- there's something else in the box!

The tract we had left with the employee was returned along with the glasses.  My first thought was that we had offended him and that he sent it back unread (the result of living outside of the Bible belt for 6+ years!).

But on the back was a personal note from him!

Wow!  This just made my day! Most of the time when we give a tract, we never hear from the people again. I thought it was very nice of the fellow to take the time to include a personal note saying he had read the tract.  I now know that a seed was planted.  I hope that seed will grow and be watered by someone else!  This small result has motivated me to work even harder at planting seeds and redeeming the time with the things that matter!

Are you busy planting seeds?

Wow! That is tremendous! You are right, we usually never know if they are read or not. That was amazing for him to mail it back with a personal note.
